Founded 1992 in Bremen as Rocky Mountain Instrument GmbH by the Rocky Mountain Instrument Corp., Longmont, CO, USA and Dipl.- Ing. (FH) Hans-J. Meister, Bremen. The plan was the installation of a sales and coating company for the optical producal products of RMI/USA.

1995 it was dicided that RMI withdraw from the European market and their shares were aquired by the managing director Hans-J. Meister. The cooperation with RMI/USA was continued, but the name of the company was changed to “OASYS GmbH Optics and Systems”.

OASYS is still working in the field of optical components for Laser systems. But in the meantime the company is also a well known supplier of special optical components that are used for example in measuring- and analytical devices, and sensors. For his customers OASYS is using his worldwide contacts to offer economical and technical optimized product solutions.
